Speaker: Bahrain Police among Bahrain's progress, prosperity pillars

Manama, Dec. 13 (BNA): Speaker of the Council of Representatives, Fawzia bint Abdulla Zainal, has affirmed that the Bahrain Police is among the main pillars of the kingdom’s progress and prosperity, given the crucial role it is playing in maintaining the nation’s security and stability, as well as in supporting the comprehensive development march, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
The speaker asserted that the Bahrain Police Day, marked every December 14, is an opportunity to honour Bahraini police personnel for their dedication and the sacrifices they are making for the sake of defending the homeland, protecting national gains and providing maximum levels of security and stability for the citizens and residents.
The speaker lauded the great interest of the government, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to develop the security system and enhance its distinguished march, which has always emanated from sincere belonging to the nation, and loyalty to the leadership and the nation, adding that the Bahrain Police boasts a rich record of dedication, sacrifices and redemption.
She lauded the constant readiness and full preparedness of the security authorities, led by Interior Minister, General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, stressing that the efforts of the brave security personnel testify to the best manifestations of sacrifices and redemption for the sake of the nation and its people, as well as the achievement of the aspirations and visions of HM King Hamad’s leadership.
The speaker indicated that the Bahraini police personnel have set the example in their dedication in defending the nation’s achievements, institutions and property, public and private.
She pointed out that the security institution has adopted an approach aimed at promoting the state of law and institutions, through the community partnership vision announced by the Interior Minister.
The speaker reiterated the parliamentary support for the security establishment, given its role in preserving and protecting hard-won national gains, as well as supporting the comprehensive development march.
