HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad lauds BIBF, Bahrain Polytechnic's initiatives supporting artificial intelligence

Manama, Dec. 14 (BNA): HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee has valued the initiatives being launched by Bahrain Polytechnic and the Bahrain Institute of Banking & Finance (BIBF) in support of artificial intelligence and digital transformation, the last of which was organising the virtual conference entitled "2020 Artificial Intelligence for All", held on December 8 and 9, 2020. The event featured a wide pool of elite experts in the artificial intelligence field and researchers in this area as well as academics and students. Moreover, HH Shaikh Khalid expressed utmost thanks and appreciation to the speakers who participated in the event, instructing the concerned parties to take into consideration the recommendations and the results of the event. He also hoped that the Bahraini youth will play a part in developing the artificial intelligence field in line with Bahrain's 2030 Economic Vision. It's worth noting that 689 participants took part in the event, representing various fields and industries. The conference was inaugurated by keynotes delivered by Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulaziz Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Bahrain Polytechnic and Mr Rasheed Mohammed Al Meraj, Governor of the Central Bank of Bahrain. Among the recommendations of the conference were to adopt strategies meant to develop artificial intelligence in the private and government sectors.
