Shura Council Chairman hails HM King’s keynote speech

Manama, Dec.16, (BNA): Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al-Khalifa hailed the keynote speech delivered by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, in which he asserted resolve to continue the march of development and modernization and build on landmark achievements since the era of the founder of the modern State of Bahrain Ahmed Al-Fateh. He said that the pioneering reform project, which was launched by HM the King, heralded a new era and a fresh start for building institutions and the rule of law, hailing Bahrain’s atmosphere of tolerance and co-existence. “The keynote speech, which marked the National Day and the anniversary of HM the King’s Accession to the throne, stressing the importance of building on the achievements of late HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa and HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa”, he said. He stressed the importance of continuing work with the one-team spirit to build a promising future for coming generations, commended HM the King’s initiative to launch the Prince Salman Medal of Medical Merit, adding that the royal gesture would support the medical community and honour the National Taskforce which turned Bahrain into a role model for health humanitarian care. He praised the dedicated efforts of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister to combat the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). He lauded HM the King’s directives to launch the national vaccination campaign and provide optional jabs to all citizens and residents free to those who choose to be vaccinated. The Shura Council Chairman paid homage to the martyrs of duty who sacrificed their lives, since the foundation of the state of Bahrain, to defend Bahrain and protect its interests and achievements, adding that their memory would remain engraved in national historical annals.
