The meeting discussed the progress made in implementing the recommendations issued by the Committee at its sixth special session, which was held in Amman, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, in December 2019, including the continuing preparation of technical reports on regional and global developments in the field of financing for development, analysing their regional implications, and converting their findings into brief policy papers. It also discussed continuing the evaluation of reforms of the various elements of social protection systems. The meeting also discussed the technical cooperation activities carried out by the committee in 2020, to enhance the capabilities of member states through organising training activities and providing advisory services and technical advice in the field of public policies, strategies, and business plans.
