HH Shaikh Nasser congratulated on camel festival double win

Manama, Dec. 31 (BNA): Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Environment and member of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport, HH Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa, has lauded the new achievement attained by HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa at the finals of the fifth edition of the King Abdulaziz Camel Festival. “Injaz” and “Jabal Dukhan” camels, both owned by HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, claimed the first places in the first and second races of the King Abdulaziz Camel Festival 2020, held in Saudi Arabia. HH Shaikh Faisal asserted that the successive achievements attained by HH Shaikh Nasser confirm the kingdom’s distinguished standing in the deep-rooted popular heritage sports in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. They also reflect HH Shaikh Nasser’s interest in promoting such a genuine heritage sport, through his keenness to participate in the largest regional races which witness fierce competition among the owners of the most famous camel breeds in the Arabian Peninsula, he said. It is to be noted that although HH Shaikh Nasser participated in the camel races of the King Abdulaziz Camel Festival for the first time, he managed to win gold, through claiming the titles of the first and second races. “Injaz” and “Jabal Al-Dukhan”, both trained by Mohammed Abdulla bin Shuraim, won the first and second races, clocking 06:09:13 and 6:05:52, respectively.
