At least 26 killed in Uzbek bus crash

At least 26 people were killed in a bus accident in the Central Asian republic of
Uzbekistan on Friday, according to media reports on Saturday.
The Mercedes bus crashed into an excavator parked by the roadside while travelling
at a high speed in the province of Kashkardarya, in the south-west of the country,
according to an Interfax news agency report quoting police.
More than 20 of the 50 passengers survived the crash, some with serious injuries.
