SEA President, JLanka discuss training of national cadres

Manama, Jan. 13 (BNA): Sustainable Energy Authority (SEA)’s President Dr. Abdul Hussain bin Ali Mirza received a delegation from JLanka Technologies, headed by the company’s CEO Jayantha Jayamanna.
Dr. Mirza praised the company's contributions in the renewable energy sector in Bahrain over the past two years, especially in supporting the efforts of the SEA to train and qualify local cadres to install solar energy systems at competitive global levels that enrich the national labor market, and to encourage the use of renewable energy and invest in it.
The SEA president briefed them on the most prominent developments in the implementation of the national renewable energy plan and energy efficiency, projects and initiatives that the SEA intends to work on during the next year.
He discussed the success of installing solar energy systems distributed on the roofs of government buildings, and the important contribution of the training program in empowering Bahraini companies in order to compete with international companies in submitting bids to tenders.
The delegation praised the progress made by the SEA to develop the sustainable energy sector, and expressed its aspiration to support its efforts and work to achieve the goals of the national renewable energy plan.
