Qatar Hosts GCC Basketball Championship in mid-2021

Doha, January 14 (QNA) - The Organizing Committee of the Gulf Cooperation Council for Basketball approved Wednesday the 2021tournaments and events, foremost of which is Qatar hosting the champions championship for teams. The program, which was agreed upon during the committee's meeting via videoconferencing, included the hosting of the champions championship in the State of Qatar in mid-2021. Qatar also hosts the consultative meeting of the heads of the Gulf basketball federations. The junior national teams' tournament will be held in the Kingdom of Bahrain from 11 to 18 August, as well as the youth teams championship, and several courses for coaches and referees in conjunction with the tournaments. During the meeting, the minutes of the previous meeting held in Kuwait were approved, and the National Olympic Committee's letter regarding the postponement of the third GCC Games in Kuwait 2021 was reviewed.
