Al Shaqab Organizes 8th Commercial Bank Equestrian Championship

Doha, January 17 (QNA) - Al Shaqab, a member of Qatar Foundation, will organized the eighth Commercial Bank CHI AL SHAQAB Presented by Longines, a global equestrian event, from Feb. 25 to 27. The Social & Sport Contribution Fund (Daam) has been named the supporter of Commercial Bank championship. The Social Sport and Contribution Fund and Al Shaqab have agreed to support the development of equestrian sports in Qatar, particularly among youths. Created in 2013, Commercial Bank CHI Al SHAQAB Presented by Longines is one of five CHI competitions worldwide, and the first and only equestrian event of its kind in the Middle East and Asia region. Abdulrahman bin Abdulatif Al Mannai, Chief Executive Officer, Social & Sport Contribution Fund, said: "I’m delighted to announce that Daam will be the Supporter of Commercial Bank CHI Al SHAQAB Presented by Longines, a prestigious event on the international equestrian calendar. "Equestrian sport truly represents Qataris, our tradition, and our culture, and this is reflected in the competitions and events undertaken by Al Shaqab, an organization passionately committed to preserving and promoting Qatar’s rich equestrian heritage."
