Qatar Racing and Equestrian Club Announces Wide International Participation in Amir's Sword Festival

Doha, January 26 (QNA) - Qatar Racing and Equestrian Club said Monday that Al Rayyan track will host in February the biggest horse racing event in the State of Qatar, HH the Amir's Sword Festival. The event will be held over three days from Feb. 18 to Feb. 20. It will include a number of races with a total prize money of $4 million. A total of 306 horses, 75 of which are from abroad, will take part in the most important horse racing competition. Ebraz and Taif are the two favorites for winning HH the Amir sword just like in previous years. However the difference this year is they will have a third competitor with a strong chance of winning in Lady Princess, who won six out of eight races so far. (QNA)
