Foreign Minister visits Bahrain's embassy in Belgium

Brussels, Feb. 10 (BNA): Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, paid a visit today to the embassy of the Kingdom of Bahrain in the Kingdom of Belgium, as part of his visit to Brussels. The Minister was accompanied by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for International Affairs, Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, and the accompanying delegation. The minister was received by the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Kingdom of Belgium, the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and the Kingdom of Denmark, and representative to the European Union and NATO, Dr. Bahia Jawad Al-Jishi, and the embassy staff. The Foreign Minister was shown the embassy building and all its departments. He praised the efforts of Ambassador Dr. Al-Jishi and all the embassy staff in safeguarding the interests of the Kingdom and promoting friendly and cooperative relations with the Kingdom of Belgium. He also hailed continuous diplomatic work of the embassy in light of the current conditions that the world is going through due to the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. He wished them continued success in performing the tasks and responsibilities entrusted with them. For her part, Ambassador Dr. Al-Jishi expressed thanks and appreciation for the support that the embassy and its employees receive from the Minister of Foreign Affairs and officials at the ministry. She stressed keenness to promote bilateral relations, in line with the directives of His Majesty the King, so as to serve the interests of the two friendly countries and people.
