HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister receives the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea

Manama, Feb. 15 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today received the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea, His Excellency Park Byeong-seug, at Riffa Palace. During the meeting, HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister highlighted the steady growth of relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of Korea, which continues to receive the support of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. His Royal Highness welcomed HE Byeong-seug’s visit to Bahrain, noting the importance of mutual visits towards bolstering strategic partnerships and providing quality opportunities and also emphasised the benefits of international parliamentary and legislative cooperation. His Royal Highness stressed the Kingdom’s commitment to furthering joint cooperation with various countries across Asia, noting South Korea’s prominent economic role and industrial expertise, which has contributed to promoting sustainable development across Asia and the globe. Regional and international issues of common interest as well as efforts to combat the COVID-19 were also discussed. For his part, HE Byeong-seug congratulated His Royal Highness on the 20th anniversary of the National Action Charter, highlighting its contributions to the Kingdom’s continued progress and development. HE Byeong-seug extended his gratitude for the opportunity to meet HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, highlighting HRH’s commitment to furthering bilateral ties. HE Byeong-seug wished the Kingdom further development and prosperity. The Speaker of the Council of Representatives, HE Fawzia Abdulla Zainal, and the Minister of Finance and National Economy, HE Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, also attended the meeting.
