QREC Chairman Hails Success of HH the Amir Sword Festival

Doha, February 21 (QNA) - Qatar Racing & Equestrian Club (QREC) Chairman Issa bin Mohammed Al Mohannadi expressed his happiness for the great success of the HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani Sword Festival, which was organized by QREC amid large participation of owners from inside and outside the country. In a press statement after the end of the festival, Al Mohannadi said that the presence of HH the Amir to crown the winners today is a great honor and a push for continuing efforts to achieve the best in the future, expressing his happiness in the way the festival came out in terms of attendance, the strength of the races, and the level of participating horses. He affirmed Qatar's ability, represented by QREC, to organize sporting events despite all the COVID-19 challenges and difficulties, thanking all QREC staff who contributed to organizing the festival at a high level. He praised the performances of the participants from outside Qatar, appreciating the great role played by the committee that supervised the coronation on the final day, in coordination between QREC and the Qatar Equestrian Federation.
