QFA Disciplinary Committee Suspends Al Sadd Player Akram Afif for Two Matches

Doha, February 21 (QNA) - Qatar Football Association (QFA) announced Sunday the Disciplinary Committee's decision to suspend Akram Afif, Al Sadd player, for two matches and to fine him QR 30,000 in the wake of his statements to the media following his team's Qatar Cup semi-final match against Al Rayyan last Thursday. Qatar Football Association stated that the two matches are the next match in the QNB League on Monday evening and the final match of the Qatar Cup on Friday. Afif made controversial statements saying that his team was playing against 11 and half players, referring to the referee who, according to Afif, did not provide protection for his team. (QNA)
