Al Sadd Maintain Top Position in Qatargas League

Doha, February 25 (QNA) - Al Sadd maintained the top position in Qatargas Football League, after defeating Umm Salal by 3-0 in the match played today at the Grand Hamad Stadium in Al-Arabi Club in the 17th round of the competition. Al Sadd scored goals, Hassan Ahmed in minutes 10 and 42, and Saud Al-Nasr scored in the 53rd minute. With this victory, Al Sadd raised its score to 45 points, consolidating its position in the lead, while Umm Salal's balance stuck at 24 points in seventh place. In a second match, Al Rayyan defeated Al Ahly with 11-0. With this victory, Al Rayyans balance rose to 31 points in third place, ahead of Qatar SC (fourth), while Al Ahlys balance stopped at 6 points in 11th position. In a third match, Qatar SC defeated Al Arabi 1-0 , scored by Salmin Al Rumaihi in the 61st minute. At the conclusion of this round's competitions, Al Sadd strengthened its position in the lead with 45 points, followed by Al Gharafa in second place with 42 points, and Al-Rayyan in third place with 31 points.
