Deputy Prime Minister stresses significance of boosting Bahrain's competitiveness

Manama, Feb. 28 (BNA): Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa has highlighted the importance of development plans to enhance Bahrain's local and international competitiveness in the economic field. The status of Bahrain under the leadership of His Majesty the King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa with the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Prime Minister and Chairman of the Economic Development Board (EDB) as an investment and financial hub has been consolidated over several decades, he said. This status has been achieved thanks to the economic and financial policy based on sound and thoughtful foundations to provide a safe and encouraging environment for capital, which will lead the country towards Bahrain's Economic Vision 2030 with confidence and steadiness, Shaikh Khalid added during a virtual meeting with EDB Advisor Iain Lindsay. The Deputy Prime congratulated Lindsay on his appointment and wished him success in his mission to help achieve further success and meet the new goals set by the EDB. Lindsay expressed gratitude to Shaikh Khalid and stressed eagerness to work according to the EDB visions and strategies and their development in a way that contributes to boosting the national economy.
