Saudi Arabia and UNRWA sign agreement

Amman, May 05, SPA -- The Saudi Development Fund (SDF) and the United
Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near
East (UNRWA)
signed here this evening an agreement according to which SDF provides
a donation worth $25 million to finance the rehabilitation process of
Nahr Al-Bared Palestinian refugee camp in northern Lebanon.

Eng. Yousef Al-Bassam signed for SDF and Karen Abu-Zayd, UNRWA
General Commissioner, signed for her organization in the presence of
the Saudi Ambassador to Jordan Fahd bin Abdulmohsen Al-Zaid.

For her part, Abu-Zayd expressed gratitude for the Custodian of the
Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for the support
the UNRWA continues to receive from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

She explained the positive impact of this donation in replenishing
UNWRA’s projects in the camp.
