Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan bids farewell to Pakistani senior officials

Islamabad, May 05, SPA -- The long-serving Saudi Ambassador to
Pakistan Ali bin Awwad Assiri held a grand banquet in Islamabad this
evening in honor of Pakistani senior officials to bid them farewell
at the end of his tenure in Southwest Asian country.

Pakistan's Prime Minister Sayed Riza Jelani and former Prime Minister
Nawaz Sharif led the gathering which also included a number of
ministers, parliamentarians and senior officials.

Conveying to them the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy
Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Ambassador confirmed
the deep-rooted firm bilateral relations binding the two friendly
countries.

He said he will be leaving Pakistan carrying dear memories and
experiences with the friendly people and officials of Pakistan.

For his part, the Pakistani Prime Minister said the fraternal
relations between his country and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and
their leaderships were and continue to be beyond the changing world
environment and the international politics frameworks, thanks to the
two countries' common beliefs, values, history and identical views on
most of the regional and international issues.

He paid tribute to the support his country continues to receive from
the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the special interest of the Custodian
of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud in the
welfare of Pakistani people.
