Chairman of Organizing Committee Praises Qatar Total Open Remarkable Success

Doha, March 07 (QNA) - Nasser Al Khelaifi, President of the Qatar Tennis, Squash and Badminton Federation, and Chairman of the Supreme Organizing Committee of the Qatar Total Open for Women 2021 appreciated the unlimited support given by the wise leadership in the country, for the Qatari sport in general and tennis in particular, considering that the continuous successes of the federation and its tournaments as a natural result of this distinguished support. In remarks on the sideline of the final day of the tournament, Al Khelaifi said that the attendance of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani to the final match of Qatar Total Open is a great honor and a motivation to always achieve the best. He added that the great success witnessed by the current edition of the tournament, despite the huge challenges due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, has proven that the State of Qatar is up to the challenge in hosting the major tournaments, through implementing strict precautionary measures that have contributed to preserving the safety of everyone. Al Khelaifi added that the tournament's competitions this year were strong and exciting since their first rounds, and the level increased further in the quarter-final and semi-final rounds. He thanked all the committees working in the tournament, especially the medical committee, which made great efforts to preserve the safety of all participants in this event, including players, officials, and administrators, pointing to the great praise of the Women's Tennis Association for the distinguished organization of the tournament.
