Assistant Foreign Minister receives German Ambassador to Bahrain

Manama, Mar. 7 (BNA): Assistant Foreign Minister, Abdullah bin Faisal bin Jabr Al-Doseri, received in his office Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Kingdom of Bahrain and current representative of the European Union, Kai Boeckmann. The meeting was attended by Ambassador of the French Republic to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Jérôme Cauchard, and the Chargé d'Affaires of the Italian Republic to the Kingdom of Bahrain. Discussions focused on aspects of joint cooperation and coordination between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the European Union in various fields. The Assistant Foreign Minister praised relations of friendship and cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the European Union, stressing their development at all levels. He commended the role of the EU in preserving regional and international security and stability, wishing the ambassador continued success. For his part, the German ambassador stressed the importance of further strengthening cooperation and joint coordination to serve common interests. He also lauded the kingdom's role in promoting the principles and goals of human rights, wishing the Kingdom of Bahrain continued progress and prosperity. During the meeting, the two sides discussed a number of issues of mutual concern.
