HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad congratulates IOC President

Manama, Mar.15 (BNA): Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS) First Deputy Chairman, Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) President His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al-Khalifa sent a letter of congratulations to International Olympic Committee (IOC) President Thomas Bach on his re-election for a new term which will run until 2025. He said that Bach’s re-election reflects the confidence of the international Olympic community in his ability to lead the Olympic movement towards achieving further success. HH Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al-Khalifa also congratulated Mr. Bach on the success of the 137th IOC meeting which was held on March 10-12, reiterating support to his presidency. He commended Mr. Bach’s leading role during his eight-year tenure, citing the reforms which were adopted in the 2020 Olympic agenda as well as the successful management of the Olympic movement during the COVID-19 pandemic.
