Qatar Rugby, Hockey and Cricket Committee Holds Ordinary General Assembly

Doha, March 21 (QNA) - The Qatar Rugby, Hockey and Cricket Committee held the Ordinary General Assembly at the headquarters of the Qatar Olympic Committee. The meeting was attended by President of the Committee Yousef Jaham Al Kuwari, Secretary Abdullah Aman Al Khater, and Saleh Al Yazidi, the representative of the Olympic Committee, as well as members of the Board of Directors Issa Al Ghanim, Mohammed Al Othmani and Ali Al Maliki. It discussed the future of the three sports and how to develop and promote them and broaden the base for participation in them. President of the Committee Yousef Jaham Al Kuwari said the meeting discussed the development of the three sports, especially with regard to the provision of cricket and rugby stadiums for practice during the coming period, through developing visions and plans for the next phase, especially since the previous period in which the committee relied on open spaces for the practice of the activity. He added that the representative of the Olympic Committee was informed of the plans and request for support from the Olympic Committee in this regard, praising at the same time the role and support of the Olympic Committee in promoting the three sports.
