Qatar National Team Coach Says Team Ready to Perform in Euro World Cup Qualifiers

Budapest, March 23 (QNA) - Head coach of Qatar national team Felix Sanchez said Tuesday that the team is in high spirits as they look to start their matches in the European World Cup 2022 qualifiers. Sanchez was speaking in the press conference held to discuss his team's preparations for the match against Luxembourg in Group A of the qualifiers. He said that the match will not be easy, noting that Luxembourg have a number of good players in their team. He also noted that the Qatari players have grown accustomed to high-pressure games. He added that playing against Luxembourg, Azerbaijan, and Ireland in less than a week will not be a problem, highlighting the strength of the squad. He added that playing three matches in a week is nothing new for the players, especially given the circumstances and the quality of the opposition. He stressed that the team will look to get good results in the qualifiers, even though they are the host of the World Cup. For his part, Qatar's captain Hassan Al Haidous said that participating in the European World Cup qualifiers will be a different challenge compared to the ones the team faced in the past. He added however that the team is glad to get the experience as they prepare for the World Cup. (QNA)
