Foreign Minister receives Japanese ambassador

Manama, Mar. 24 (BNA): Foreign Minister, Dr. Abdellatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, received in his office today outgoing Japanese Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Hideki Ito, and Dean of the Diplomatic Corps, Omani Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain Abdullah bin Rashid bin Ali Al Medilwi. The meeting was attended by Assistant Foreign Minister, Abdullah bin Faisal bin Jaber Al Dousari, Foreign Ministry Undersecretary Dr. Shaikha Rana bint Isa bin Daij Al Khalifa and Foreign Ministry Afro-Asian Affairs Director Amb. Muna Abbas Mohammed Radhi. The Minister of Foreign Affairs welcomed the Japanese ambassador, praising his efforts during his tenure in the Kingdom of Bahrain to consolidate relations between the two friendly countries. He affirmed keenness of the Kingdom of Bahrain, under the directives of HM the King, to foster bilateral friendly relations and cooperation to serve common interests. The Japanese ambassador expressed thanks and appreciation for the support accorded to him from the leadership of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Foreign Ministry and all ministries and official institutions in the Kingdom of Bahrain which facilitated his diplomatic duties during his tenure in the kingdom. He wished Bahrain further growth and prosperity. The Foreign Minister presented the Japanese ambassador with a commemorative gift, wishing him continued success in his future diplomatic duties.
