Bahrain-UK financial, economic cooperation discussed

Manama, Mar. 30 (BNA): Minister of Finance and National Economy, Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, has stressed strong relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Kingdom and growing cooperation mainly in the financial and economic fields. He noted the importance of further bolstering bilateral relations to serve the interests of the two friendly countries and peoples. The Minister of Finance and National Economy was speaking as he received today the Minister of State for Middle East and North Africa at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office of the United Kingdom, James Cleverly, in the presence of British Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Roddy Drummond. The two ministers reviewed historical relations of friendship between both countries and their perpetual growth at all levels. They also discussed means of enhancing bilateral cooperation, mainly in the financial and economic fields, and issues of common concern. The British Minister of State for Middle East and North Africa at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office of the United Kingdom expressed thanks and appreciation to the Minister of Finance and National Economy, stressing the UK’s keenness on bolstering bilateral cooperation.
