Southern Governor receives outgoing Japanese ambassador

Manama, Apr. 5 (BNA): Southern Governor, HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, received today outgoing Japanese Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain Hideki Ito. They discussed strong and growing relations between both countries, mainly in the cultural, economic and commercial fields. HH the Southern Governor wished the Japanese ambassador every success in his future duties. The Japanese ambassador lauded keenness of HH the Southern Governor on further bolstering bilateral friendly relations, pointing out his honorary presidency of Bahrain-Japan Friendship Society. Through a micro photo gallery, HH the Southern Governor updated the Japanese ambassador about meetings and functions held previously by the Southern Governorate to boost bilateral relations. He also presented the ambassador with a copy of the book, “Riffa Between the Past and Present”, which documents the governorate’s historical and cultural aspects.
