Bahrain backs Saudi ban on Lebanese agricultural products

Manama, Apr.24 (BNA): Bahrain has today backed the decision taken by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to ban the import or transit of agricultural products from the Lebanese Republic to its lands after the Saudi competent authorities found that such products are used to smuggle drugs into the territory of the Kingdom. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed Bahrain’s to the Saudi decision, which aims to protect the Saudi society from the scourge of drugs, and within the framework of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's efforts in combating transnational organized crime in implementation of international laws, charters and norms.
