Duhail's Michael Olunga Leads Goal Scorers in Asian Champions League 2021

Kula Lumpur, April 29 (QNA) - Kenyan Michael Olunga, striker of Al Duhail, maintained the top scorer in the 2021 AFC Champions League, after raising his score to 8 goals in the first five matches. Olunga succeeded in scoring the goal of Al Duhail during the match he lost to the Iraqi police 1-2 in the fifth round, to boost his score after he scored a goal in the first match against the police, a goal in the second round against Al Ahly of Saudi Arabia, and three goals in the fourth round against Iranian Esteghlal, then two goals in the fourth round in front of Esteghlal as well. Olunga is ahead in the scorers' ranking by four goals, ahead of Syrian Omar Al Somah, the Saudi Al Ahly player, and Cheick Diabate, the striker of Iranian Esteghlal. So far, 50 matches have been played in the tournament in groups from the first to the fifth, during which he scored 127 goals, at a rate of 2.54 goals per match. Iranian Esteghlal is still the strongest team in terms of offense, after its players scored 13 goals in the first five matches, as they did not score any goal in the fifth round, and Al Hilal Saudi Arabia came second with a total of 11 goals, compared to 9 goals for each of Qatar's Al Duhail and Iranian Persepolis.
