NIHR participates in ANNHRI Executive Committee meeting

Manama, May 19 (BNA): President of the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), Ali Ahmed Al-Derazi, and Secretary General, Chancellor Yasser Ghanim Shahin, participated in an emergency meeting of the Executive Committee of the Arab Network for National Human Rights Institutions (ANNHRI) which was held remotely by the network’s General Directorate. The meeting convened at a request by Palestine’s Independent Commission for Human Rights (ICHR), which presides the current session of the Arab Network for National Human Rights Institutions, to discuss the Israeli attacks on Gaza Strip and the daily violations of human rights. At the end of the meeting, a special statement on these violations was adopted and will be circulated by the ANNHRI in both languages.
