Schools to send study materials to quarantined students
+
OSAKA, May 10 Kyodo -
Three Osaka Prefecture-run high schools will send study materials to their
students who are being kept under observation for signs of the new flu strain
since arriving at Narita airport from the United States on Friday, officials at
the Osaka prefectural education board said Sunday.
Thirty students and six teachers from the three schools in Neyagawa, Osaka,
participated in a study trip to Canada. Of the group, three students and a
teacher are confirmed to have the new-flu strain, while the remaining 32 are
confined to a hotel near the airport where they will remain under observation
for a total of 10 days.
The education board, meanwhile, has decided to dispatch clinical
psychotherapists to the schools to alleviate concerns among students there and
parents whose children took part in the overseas study tour, the officials
said.
