Al-Sharq Warns of Continued Israeli Violations

Doha, June 12 (QNA) - Qatari newspaper Al-Sharq warned Saturday that the continued violations committed by the Israeli occupation would cause a new escalation in the Palestinian territories. Al-Sharq noted that the Israeli occupation continued to escalate its attacks against the Palestinian people. During the last 48 hours, four Palestinian have been martyred while hundreds have been injured during the brutal crackdown on peaceful protests against the occupation, settlements, population displacement and other measures that constitute a flagrant violation of international laws and covenants. Al-Sharq called on the international community to shoulder its responsibilities and stop all types of escalations and provocations by the Israeli occupation authorities, in order avoid a new round of tension in the Palestinian territories and the region. The paper also called for providing protection to the Palestinian people and working to resume the political process based on the Arab initiative and the resolutions of international legitimacy, in order to reach a comprehensive, just and sustainable peace that restores the legitimate Palestinian rights and ends the occupation.
