Doha, June 13 (QNA) - Al-Watan affirmed on Sunday that the Judicial Authority derives its existence and identity from the Permanent Constitution of the State of Qatar, which gives the judiciary the sole authority to achieve justice, independently of all other authorities, and has sole jurisdiction to achieve justice and guarantee the rights and liberties of society. The paper stressed that the rule of law is the basis of government in the State, and that the right to litigation is safeguarded and guaranteed for all people, as every citizen and resident has the right to resort to the judiciary which has general jurisdiction over criminal, civil, commercial, family, inheritance, administrative and other disputes. In this regard, the paper referred to the inauguration of the new headquarters of the Residence Affairs Court and Prosecution, which comes within the framework of the court development plan.
