THREE KILLED IN BUS ACCIDENT
Cianjur, W Java, May 11 (ANTARA) - Three people were killed and 38 others injured after the bus in which they were traveling plunged into a rice field at Pancuran Luhur village, Cianjur district, West Java, on Monday.
The accident occurred after the driver of the bus tried to avoid hitting three motorcyclists who tried to overtake a truck in the opposite direction.
It was likely two of them were killed after being trampled down by other passengers who tried to get out of the bus while the other was hemmed in by the bus body, Adj. Comsr. Gatot, chief of the traffic unit at the Cianjur police resort, said.
The injured are being treated at the Cianjur regional general hospital.
