Qatar Swimming Association to Host GCC Aquatics Games in August

Doha, June 14 (QNA) - Qatar Swimming Association announced Monday that it will host the 8th GCC Aquatics Games from August 19-22 at Hamad Aquatic Centre. The competition was set to take place in 2020, but the organizing committee decided to delay it due to COVID-19. The previous edition took place in Kuwait in 2019, with Qatar winning first place for the fourth consecutive time after winning 17 gold medals and a total of 34 medals. The Qatari team also won 10 silver medals and seven bronze medals. (QNA)
