Bahrain, Seychelles sign MoU on mutual recognition of Coronavirus vaccination and recovery certificates

Manama, June 17 (BNA): Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani today met virtually the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Tourism of the Republic of Seychelles, Sylvestre Radegonde.
During the meeting, the Minister of Foreign Affairs took pride in and appreciated the distinguished friendship relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of Seychelles, based on the principles of mutual respect and appreciation.
He stressed the Kingdom of Bahrain's aspiration to consolidate relations with the republic of Seychelles in various fields, and to raise the levels of bilateral cooperation to broader horizons to serve the interests of the two friendly countries and peoples.
The Foreign minister of the Republic of Seychelles affirmed his country's keenness to consolidate bilateral relations with the Kingdom of Bahrain and praises the development of bilateral cooperation ties at all levels.
He appreciated the Kingdom of Bahrain’s appointment of an ambassador to the Republic of Seychelles as a contributing factor to the development of cooperation relations between the two countries, wishing the Kingdom of Bahrain continued progress and prosperity.
During the meeting, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of Seychelles on mutual recognition of certificates of vaccination and recovery from the Corona virus (Covid 19).
The meeting was attended by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs, Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Consular and Administrative Affairs, Ambassador Tawfiq Ahmed Al-Mansour, and the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Republic of Seychelles residing in Abu Dhabi, Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, and Chief of the Afro-Asian Affairs, Ambassador Fatima Abdullah Al Dhaen.
