HRH Crown Prince and Prime Minister's visit to UK praised

London, June 18 (BNA): The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United Kingdom, Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, praised the outcomes of the official visit of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to the United Kingdom during which His Royal Highness met with His Royal Highness the Crown Prince of the United Kingdom, Prince of Wales, Prince Charles, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Boris Johnson, and Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab. The Bahraini ambassador expressed pride in the results of the visit that confirms the depth of historical relations between both countries, which extend for more than two hundred years of joint cooperation in various fields. He said those relations are based on solid foundations of mutual keenness to consolidate joint cooperation and serve common interests. Shaikh Fawaz stressed the great efforts made by the leadership in both countries and mutual keenness to strengthen bilateral relations to achieve common interests and boost regional security, stability and prosperity. He noted that the meetings, which shed light on a number of important issues, also addressed the efforts of both countries in facing COVID-19, given that the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Kingdom are among the distinguished countries in dealing with the pandemic, including pushing for vaccination programmes. The Kingdom of Bahrain welcomed the invitation of the United Kingdom to participate in the Climate Summit (COP26) which will be held in Glasgow, this year. Shaikh Fawaz pointed out that both sides commended during the meetings joint efforts to further enhance bilateral cooperation mainly in the economic, commercial and investment fields.
