Higher Education Council Secretary General receives Japanese ambassador

Manama, June 20 (BNA): Secretary General of the Higher Education Council, Dr. Shaikha Rana bint Isa bin Daij Al Khalifa, the Deputy Chairman of the Higher Education Council Board of Trustees, praised the distinguished level of friendly relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and Japan. She stressed the existing opportunities to further promote bilateral cooperation in the educational field, pointing out the importance of taking advantage of Japan’s experience in modernizing the higher education system and achieving goals. Dr. Shaikha Rana was speaking as she received today newly-appointed Japanese Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Miyamoto Masayuki. She congratulated him on his appointment, wishing him every success in further bolstering relations between the two friendly countries and peoples. The Japanese ambassador expressed appreciation for meeting the Higher Education Council Secretary General, stressing his country’s keenness on fostering cooperation with the Kingdom of Bahrain to serve common interests.
