Football: Lebanon's Head Coach Says FIFA's Support of the Arab Cup in Qatar Makes this Edition More Special

Doha, June 21 (QNA) - The head coach of Lebanon's football national team Jamal Taha said that the 2021 FIFA Arab Cup in Qatar will be an unprecedented edition. Speaking to the press today, he said that Qatar's winning of the rights to host of the World Cup 2022 helped change a lot of perspectives. He noted that it also yielded the FIFA Arab Cup competition. He said that the competition will represent an opportunity to rewrite the history of Lebanon's participation in Arab championships, saying the team is determined to overcome obstacles starting with the challenge of playing in the competition and ultimately qualifying for the World Cup 2022. He said that his side respect their Djiboutian counterpart, as both teams look to book a place in the 2021 FIFA Arab Cup in Qatar, set to take place in December of this year. He stressed that his team will take nothing for granted, especially that football has always been filled with surprises. (QNA)
