Bahraini National Football Team Arrives in Doha to Participate in 2021 FIFA Arab Cup Qualifications

Doha, June 22 (QNA) - The Bahraini national football team arrived in Doha to face Kuwait in the 2021 FIFA Arab Cup Qualifications on Friday at 8 p.m. at Khalifa International Stadium. The Bahraini team is competing with Kuwait to qualify for Group A, which includes Qatar, Iraq and Oman, after the latter achieved a 2-1 victory over the Somali team. Upon arrival, the Bahraini delegation was subjected to a swab PCR test to detect COVID-19 and then moved to the residence to enter the health bubble that will continue until their departure time after the match. The team's delegation includes Head of Technical Affairs Department of the Bahrain Football Association Abed Al Ansari, Director of the National Team Mohammed Salmeen, Team Director Abdullah Al Buainain, Bahrain national team coach Helio Sousa and a number of members of the technical and administrative staff. The mission included 26 players: Ali Haram, Ali Madan, Hamad Al Shamsan, Sayed Isa, Jasim Al Shaikh, Kamil Al Aswad, Mohamed Marhoon, Sayed Redha Isa, Sayed Baqer, Abdulwahab Al Malood, Sayed Jaffer, Waleed Al Hayam, Ismail Abdullatif, Ahmed Merza, Mohamed Abdulwahab, Ahmed Bughammar, Mahdi Al Humaidan, Ebrahim Lutfalla, Sayed Shubbar Alawi, Rashed Al Hooti, Abbas Al Asfoor, Sayed Saeed, Jassem Khalif, Abdulla Al Haza'a, Mohamed Al Romaihi and Ahmed Nabil. The team will train at Qatar University stadiums to prepare for the match with Kuwait. (QNA)
