FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2021: President of Mauritanian Football Association Praises Qatar's Organization of the Tournament

Doha, June 23 (QNA) - President of the Mauritanian Football Association, Second Vice-President of the Confederation of African Football and member of the Executive Council of the Arab Federation Ahmed Yahya, confirmed that all the organizational matters he witnessed during the qualifiers for the Arab Cup Finals /FIFA Qatar 2021/ in Doha is a cause for pride. Yahya said, in an exclusive interview with the media in Doha, "What we saw in organizing the Arab Cup qualifiers here in Qatar is a source of pride, and it also calls for reassurance about the ability of our Qatari brothers to organize the most important and largest international tournaments," adding: "I was not personally surprised by what I saw here, because I am aware of the brothers work and their great interest in sports, and their keenness to develop it and raise the status of their country globally, and I would like to express here our full support for them in this path, which will undoubtedly return to Arab and international football with much success. He pointed out that he was keen on taking care of all the details of hosting, whether related to stadiums, transportation or accommodation conditions, all of which are at the highest levels, noting that the establishment of the Arab Cup under the umbrella of the International Football Association (FIFA) represents an important turning point, and the State of Qatar's contributions are clear and significant in this. Ahmed Yahya added: "There is no doubt that the Arab Cup organization again is a positive and important sporting event for our Arab football, especially since the Arab Federation has now restored life for all his competitions, which is a very positive situation," considering that holding this tournament in particular under the auspices of "FIFA" is a great development that will constitute a positive turning point for the Arab championships, and something that will benefit them both in terms of marketing and value at the global level. He also stated that "this is an occasion to thank FIFA for this sponsorship, and to the Qatari brothers for their role in that, and we congratulate them on achieving this success. We also wish them success in organizing this tournament and success in organizing the biggest event, which is the World Cup, which will be held for the first time in an Arab country." The President of the Mauritanian Football Association explained that "the most important component of our experience is the belief in work alone to achieve results. When we reached the leadership of Mauritanian football, we were aware that the reason for its almost total absence about the continental and global competition is the absence of the desire to work, and since the first day we have sought to eliminate the idea that we are unable to compete like others, an idea that has haunted us for a long time, unfortunately.
