Foreign Minister meets Italian counterpart

Rome, June 28(BNA): Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani met today Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Luigi Di Maio, on the sidelines of the Ministerial Meeting of the Global Coalition to Defeat Daesh/ISIS. Dr. Al Zayani hailed Italy’s hosting of the Ministerial Meeting of the Global Coalition to Defeat Daesh and praising the close friendly relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Italian Republic, which are constantly developing in light of continued communication between officials from both sides. He further stressed the importance of continued efforts to enhance joint cooperation at all levels. Di Maio highlighted the distinguished Bahraini-Italian relations and their development in various fields, affirming the need to continue exerting efforts to enhance bilateral cooperation between the two sides. The meeting reviewed means to enhance friendly relations between the two countries and develop joint cooperation and discussed political and security developments in the Middle East and further global and regional issues of common interest. The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Italian Republic, Dr. Nasser Mohammed Al-Balushi, and the Chief of Strategic Affairs, Nancy Abdulla Jamal were present during the meeting.
