Foreign Minister meets Italian Council of State Vice President

Rome, June 30 (BNA): Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, met today with the Vice-President of the Council of State, President of the Italian Society for International Organizations, former Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Italian Republic, Franco Frattini, on the sidelines of the working visit of the Foreign Minister to Rome. During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways of joint cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Italian Republic in the fields of human rights protection, spreading the values of peace, international cooperation and the rule of law, tolerance and human coexistence. They stressed the importance of exchanging experiences and visits between similar institutions in the two friendly countries, which would promote the close friendship between the two sides. The meeting was also attended by the Ministry’s Undersecretary for Political Affairs, Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Bahrain’s Ambassador to Italy Nasser Mohammed Al-Bloushi, and the minister’s accompanying delegation.
