HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister highlights the Kingdom’s commitment to the sports sector

Manama, July 1 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, accompanied by HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of HM the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs, and HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club’s High Committee, today received HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the General Sports Authority and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee, at Riffa Palace. The meeting took place on the occasion of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa’s appointment as President of the General Sports Authority. His Royal Highness highlighted the importance of further developing the Kingdom’s sports sector in line with the Kingdom’s sustainable development goals, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. His Royal Highness welcomed HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad’s appointment as President of the General Sports Authority, wishing him success in the role. His Royal Highness noted the Kingdom’s achievements across the sports sector, which continues to receive the support of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad and HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad, adding that the efforts and determination of Bahraini athletes have been evident at regional and international sporting events. For his part, HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad highlighted His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister’s continued support for the Kingdom’s sports sector, which through various development projects, will continue to strengthen and grow, in line with HM the King’s visions and aspirations.
