Chairman of King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Coexistence receives Greek ambassador

Manama, July 7 (BNA): Board of Trustees Chairman of the King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Coexistence, Dr. Shaikh Khalid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, received Greek Ambassador to Bahrain, residing in Kuwait, Konstantinos Piperigos. They discussed boosting cooperation in the field of dialogue between religions and peaceful coexistence between peoples in the world. Dr. Shaikh Khalid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa presented a briefing on the history of religious tolerance and peaceful coexistence in the Kingdom of Bahrain and the efforts of Bahrain’s rulers throughout history in promoting tolerance among all social components. He also praised the efforts of the embassy of Greece in boosting bilateral relations. The Greek ambassador expressed thanks and appreciation to Dr. Shaikh Khalid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, stressing keenness on enhancing historical relations of friendship and cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and Greece. He also lauded Bahrain’s standing as a model of religious tolerance and peaceful coexistence.
