Ministry of Municipality Presents Qatar Experience in Food Security in International Conference

Doha, July 14 (QNA) - The Ministry of Municipality and Environment participated in the International Conference on Best Practices for Building Sustainable Food Systems in the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Region, organized via video conference by the Islamic Organization for Food Security in cooperation with the OIC. The Ministry was represented by the Director of Food Security Department Dr. Masoud Jarallah Al Marri, who presented a working paper in which he discussed the experience of the State of Qatar as a pioneering experience in the field of food security and reviewed the national strategy for food security and the efforts made to reach sustainable food systems in the State of Qatar. The conference came under the umbrella of the Food Systems Summit Dialogues, which is one of the activities of the regional dialogues on sustainable food systems in preparation for the UN Food Systems Summit, which will be held in September 2021.(QNA)
