Qatar's Mohamed Al Rumaihi Ready for Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games

Tokyo, July 17 (QNA) - Qatar's Mohamed Al Rumaihi stressed his readiness to compete in the 32nd Summer Olympic Games (Tokyo 2020) to be staged from July 23 to August 8.
Al Rumaihi said, in press statements before his departure to Tokyo, that he attended a training camp for more than a month in Italy, during which he participated in several friendly tournaments that contributed to increasing his experience, especially with the presence of world champions, noting that his participation in the Olympics comes after securing a qualifying seat for the tournament during his participation in the Asian Championship held in Doha in 2019. After obtaining the card, he said that he took an intensive training program and participated in several tournaments to develop his performance level.
Al Rumaihi continued by saying that his readiness contributed to raising the ceiling of his ambitions in the Olympic Games, hoping for success in the Olympic event. Despite the difficult circumstances the world has gone through due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the Qatar Federation and the Qatar Olympic Committee put together a program for him with main goal to maintain his health and prepare him as required for the Olympics, he added.
Secretary of the Qatar Shooting & Archery Association Majid Ahmed Al Nuaimi confirmed the readiness of Mohammed Al Rumaihi for the 32nd Summer Olympic Games (Tokyo 2020) through his commitment to all the directives and instructions set by the Qatar Olympic Committee and the Qatar Shooting & Archery Association since his preparation for participation in the Olympics, and his entry into a physical and psychological preparation program, in addition to his participation in a number of local and international tournaments in order to be ready for the largest sporting event in the world.
Meanwhile, the International Shooting Federation announced the selection of the Qatari Olympic lecturer and referee Abdullah Ali Al Mutawa Al Hammadi, a member of the Board of Directors of the Qatar Shooting & Archery Association, to participate in the management of shooting competitions within the 32nd Summer Olympic Games (Tokyo 2020).
