Al-Raya Highlights Qatar's Firm and Continuous Support for Palestinians' Rights

Doha, July 18 (QNA) - Al-Raya newspaper affirmed in its editorial Sunday that the State of Qatar's support for the justice of the Palestinian cause and the legitimate rights of the brotherly Palestinian people is firm and unchanged.
The paper underlined that in all international platforms, Qatar recalls the usurped rights of the brotherly people of Palestine.
The newspaper said that Qatar calls on the international community to get rid of the state of helplessness it suffers towards the Palestinian cause, and calls on international courts to document and shed light on the grave human rights violations and crimes committed against the brotherly Palestinian people by Israel, the occupying power, which continued with all arrogance its practices and policies aimed at imposing a fait accompli by continuing settlement activities and suffocating the city of Jerusalem, in an effort to change its demographic, political and religious identities, through forced deportation and expulsion of Palestinians and the seizure and demolition of their homes for the benefit of Israeli settlers, in clear violation of relevant international laws and agreements and UN Security Council resolutions.
The paper pointed out that although international condemnations of the Israeli occupation authorities' continued demolition of homes and displacement of Palestinian citizens are welcomed by Palestinians, Arabs and Muslims, they are not enough, because they do not prevent Israel from continuing its crimes against the Palestinian people, indicating that what the occupation is doing on a daily basis are crimes against humanity that require a firm international stance that stops these crimes and holds Israel accountable.
The newspaper said that while many Palestinian homes are facing the threat of demolition, and many families are waiting for the fate of displacement, the world is standing by, adding that if there is no firm international position, Israel will not commit to the two-state solution, will not stop settlements, and will not stop provocations in Jerusalem, especially in Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Al-Raya stressed that Israel, through its crimes, endangers the security and stability of the region and the world without any sense of responsibility.
The paper emphasised that the international legitimacy represented by the United Nations and the Security Council is more than ever required to correct its approach towards the Palestinians and enable them to establish their state on the 1967 borders with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital, by recognizing it without placing obstacles in front of it, especially since all international conventions guarantee its establishment.
In conclusion, Al-Raya said that the State of Qatar affirms that a permanent, just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian cause must be implemented in accordance with international law and the implementation of international legitimacy resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative. (QNA)
