Doha, July 20 (QNA) - Al Sharq and Al Watan highlighted the Eid celebrations in the Arab and Islamic world, which come at unprecedented political and economic conditions. The two papers highlighted the struggle of the Palestinian people who are protecting the attacks against their holy sites, with tensions rising in the occupied Al Quds due to the settlers' storming into Al Aqsa mosque. This came in the aftermath of the Israeli forces' storming into the mosque and throwing tear gas and firing rubber bullets. Al Sharq said that Muslims are hoping this Eid will see the Islamic Ummah more united, stable, and secure following years of challenges that faced Muslim people, with hopes that after a year since the pandemic humanity will be in better shape. The paper added that the Palestinian people remain alone, except for a handful of supporters, as they struggle with the monstrous attacks of the occupation who. The paper highlighted that the latest of these attacks was at Al Aqsa mosque and in Gaza, where 232 Palestinians were killed. Al Sharq concluded by saying that Eid comes at a time when the Islamic world continues to face many challenges and conflicts that killed thousands, with millions of Muslims residing in refugee camps. For its part, Al Watan said that the Arab and Muslim World celebrate this year's Eid in difficult political and economic conditions, particularly in Palestine where the people are struggling with the attack on their holy sites, with clashes in the occupied Al Quds ongoing as a result of settlers' storming of Al Aqsa mosque. The paper cited remarks by the Israeli prime minister that settlers would continue to storm into Al Aqsa in a safe fashion. The paper concluded by saying that the continued storming into Al Aqsa mosque, particularly with Muslims celebrating Eid Al-Adha sends a very bad message that the international community must handle and work towards a fair resolution to the Palestinian issue.
