HM King receives Sudanese Foreign Minister

Manama, July 26 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa hailed strong historic and steadily-growing relations binding Bahrain and Sudan across all fields. This came as he received today, at Al Sakhir Palace, Sudanese Foreign Minister Dr. Maryam Al-Sadiq Al-Mahdi, on the occasion of her visit to Bahrain to open her country’s embassy in the Kingdom. Dr. Al Mahdi conveyed to HM the King greetings from Chairman of the Sovereignty Council of Sudan, General Abdel Fattah Abdelrahman al-Burhan and Transitional Prime Minister Abdalla Hamdok, wishing Bahrain and its people further progress and prosperity. HM the King welcomed the Sudanese foreign minister, wishing the Chairman of the Sovereignty Council and Transitional Prime Minister and the Sudanese people further progress and prosperity. HM the King hailed the official opening of the Sudanese embassy, which reflects outstanding and deep-rooted relations and steadily-growing cooperation towards serving common goals and interests. He reiterated Bahrain’s support to Sudan’s efforts to bolster peace, stability and development, in addition to supporting Arab issues and interests. He commended the efforts of the Sudanese expatriate community and their contribution to the Kingdom’s development. Dr. Al Mahdi expressed deepest thanks to HM the King for the warm welcome and good hospitality, hailing royal efforts to enhance Bahraini-Sudanese relations. She reiterated her country’s appreciation of the Kingdom of Bahrain, led by HM the King, as well as Bahrain’s role in supporting pan-Arab action.
