First meeting of Bahrain- Tajikistan political consultations held

Manama, July 27 (BNA): The first meeting of political consultations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of Tajikistan was held virtually today. The meeting was chaired by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs, Ambassador Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, and the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, Khusrav Nоziri. The meeting was held in the presence of the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain in Dushanbe, residing in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Mohammed Ebrahim Mohammed. During the meeting, the Undersecretary commended close relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the friendly Republic of Tajikistan and their steady growth at all levels. He stressed the importance of activating the agreements signed between the two countries and exploring wider areas of comprehensive cooperation. He expressed the importance of political consultations in strengthening partnership between the two friendly countries. For his part, the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan praised the active role and efforts of the Kingdom of Bahrain in consolidating peace and regional cooperation, wishing the Kingdom further progress and prosperity. The meeting also reviewed means of bolstering bilateral cooperation and a number of issues of common interest.
